Sustainable Roofing With Eco-Slate

The Eco-Slate Flexible Recycled Plastic Roof Tile is designed to deliver exceptional roofing performance while reducing environmental impact.

Manufactured in the UK from 95% recycled plastic, these tiles are a sustainable alternative to natural slate. Their flexible yet strong composition makes them suitable for low-pitch roofs, curved designs, and board roof systems, without the fragility or waste of traditional slate.

Unlike natural slate, which is prone to cracking and breakage, Eco-Slate tiles are unbreakable and require no special accessories for hips or ridges. Each tile naturally bonds with its neighbours to form a windproof, rainproof, and low-maintenance roofing membrane, providing decades of reliable performance.

Flexible Roofing for Every Project

The Eco-Slate roofing system is suitable for a wide range of applications, from residential homes and commercial buildings to sheds, stables, workshops, and sports pavilions. Its lightweight construction makes it easier to transport, handle, and install compared to heavy traditional slate.

Each tile can be bent, cut, or shaped to suit unique roof angles, curves, and junctions. This dual benefit of strength and flexibility eliminates the need for costly ridge tiles or additional accessories, simplifying installation while reducing material costs.

Weather-Resistant and Low-Maintenance

Designed for the UK climate, the Eco-Slate roof tile offers superior resistance to wind, rain, frost, and UV exposure. With the ability to withstand winds of up to 110 mph and holding a Class 4 impact rating, these tiles provide peace of mind against storm damage and vandalism.

Unlike natural slate, Eco-Slate requires no ongoing maintenance. It won’t attract moss or mildew, and it won’t crack or split over time. The self-bonding design creates a solid weatherproof barrier, enhanced over time by natural heat and sunlight.

Faster and Cost-Effective Installation

Installing Eco-Slate is quicker and more efficient than working with traditional slate. Tiles are directly fixed to plyboard or OSB boards without the need for roof battens, reducing both labour time and material costs.

With pre-marked overlap guides and nail position spacers, each tile is designed for precision fitting. This results in consistent coverage, reduced waste, and a seamless finish. Overlaps can be set at 170 mm, 190 mm, or 210 mm, depending on roof pitch.

Suggested Applications:

• Low-angle pitched roofs

• Curved roofs

• Board roof systems (plyboard or OSB)

• Residential buildings

• Commercial buildings

• Renovations and new builds

• Garages, sheds, and outbuildings

• Garden structures (e.g., pergolas, greenhouses)

• Stables

• Workshops

• Sports pavilions
