McLaren Construction has bolstered its Construction Management and Specialist Projects division by appointing Lucy Craig as its new design director.
Ms. Craig is a seasoned architect and design authority who brings two decades of experience in the design and execution of construction projects. Her impressive track record includes leading the technical design work for major schemes such as the 40 Leadenhall development, the Paddington Square scheme, and Phase 2 of the Battersea Power Station regeneration. The division Ms. Craig is joining is currently managing several major schemes, including the construction of Cardiff Arena for Live Nation, and the refurbishment of Colmore Gate, a prominent office tower located in Birmingham.
Commenting on her new role and the industry's direction, Lucy Craig stated: "McLaren has significantly invested in technology, bringing the design and engineering practices closer together. Clients are increasingly looking for contractors with multi-disciplinary teams that can lead and advise but also be flexible to respond to complex project requirements and that's what I will be focusing on in my new role at McLaren."
McLaren Construction is a major player in the sector, having recorded revenues of approximately £1 billion in the 2023/2024 financial year. The firm is projecting a managed rise in its annual turnover for 2024/25.
