Work is now progressing on site at the second phase of Wyatt Homes’ residential development in Upton, Poole.
The Poole-based contractor has begun construction on an 8.79-acre parcel of land adjacent to its completed Frenches Green scheme, where 70 new homes were successfully delivered.
Located off Watery Lane, this new phase will add a further 92 properties to the area. The homes are designed to complement the local character while providing high-quality, energy-efficient living spaces to meet modern standards.
Tim Hoskinson, Planning Director at Wyatt Homes, said: "Digging the foundations for the first homes in the latest phase of Frenches Green is the latest milestone for this popular development people are proud to call home. On average we'll have more than 60 people working on site to build the new homes, which will feature the signature Wyatt Homes craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail and premium finish.
"We worked closely with Dorset Council when planning the development to ensure the homes are in keeping with the character of the wider neighbourhood. The housing mix was planned to help address local housing needs with a range of two-bedroom apartments, plus two, three, and four-bedroom homes being built. We also recognise the importance of investing in community facilities and have agreed a package of support of circa £725,000 with funding allocated for NHS GP surgeries, schools and SEN provision, plus improvements to public walking routes."
The first homes are expected to be released for sale in early 2026, with the first residents due to move in next summer. Completion of the development is anticipated by winter 2027.
Situated within the Lytchett Minster School catchment area, Frenches Green offers convenient access to nearby nature reserves, walking routes through Upton Country Park and links to Bournemouth and Poole.
