The event, which gathered major players including construction giant Avintia, underscored the vital transition from traditional paper-based systems to advanced cloud-based solutions.
Discussions at the event focused on how digital tools, such as PlanRadar, are essential for addressing evolving sector challenges. They highlighted the benefits of enhanced project quality through comprehensive data traceability, improved dispute resolution processes, and significant risk reduction. Sara Briz, Project Manager at Arup, commented: "We chose PlanRadar for its ability to deliver process improvement, automation, and comprehensive data traceability. This aligns with our broader AI strategy, enabling our teams to focus on high-value creative and strategic work while maintaining complete digital documentation."
Eversheds Sutherland, offering a legal perspective, emphasised the growing importance of establishing robust digital documentation trails, particularly as AI-driven legal processes increasingly influence construction disputes. Andrés Ponce, Legal Director at Eversheds Sutherland, observed: "The use of these types of tools significantly reduces the potential for disputes between stakeholders, creating a more collaborative environment and greater productivity in project development."
Rob Norton, UK Director at PlanRadar, commented on the event: "Gathering perspectives from leading firms like Arup and Eversheds, alongside our valued customers like Avintia, at our recent event in Spain, highlights a pivotal moment in construction’s digital evolution. We are creating an environment that can deliver benefits including enhanced project quality, comprehensive traceability, significant risk reduction, and improved productivity across the construction value chain." These discussions build on PlanRadar’s proven success, including the onboarding of over 10,000 subcontractors by major industry players like Avintia.
