Watkin Jones plc has officially completed Sherlock Quarter, a landmark build-to-rent (BTR) development in the heart of Birmingham's city centre.
Delivered on behalf of Get Living, a leading BTR specialist, the development features 551 high-quality apartments, including 47 affordable homes, across six buildings on Sherlock Street. In addition to much-needed residential space, the scheme includes 16,500 sq. ft. of ground-floor commercial space and a newly created pedestrianised public square.
Designed to promote sustainable urban living, Sherlock Quarter offers residents premium amenities, including co-working spaces, social lounges, a gym, a double-height sky lounge and a landscaped community garden.
Gwyn Pritchard, Managing Director – Construction at Watkin Jones, commented: "The completion of Sherlock Quarter marks a significant achievement in our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable housing in Birmingham. With one of the youngest populations in Europe, Birmingham needs high quality, affordable housing, and we are delighted to be delivering another brilliant development in the city.
"Sherlock Quarter not only helps address the city's housing shortage, but also creates a vibrant, community-focused space that enhances the landscape and provides long-term sustainable living options for Birmingham residents."
