Construction firm The Input Group has appointed a trio of new hires to develop its comprehensive offering of contractor services.
The three new starters will help the firm to continue to deliver high-quality construction solutions across the rail, education, leisure, and retail sectors.
Ethan Kelly joins The Input Group as head of procurement, Paul Greaves as projects manager, and Jon Wall as procurement assistant. Bringing a combined experience of more than 50 years in the construction sector, the three new hires will work on a range of projects across the UK.
With a strong background in engineering, having previously worked closely with Network Rail, Ethan will head up the firm’s procurement team, sourcing high-quality materials for projects. Ethan said: "The diversity of The Input Group’s work drew me to the company, being active across many different sectors and working on a wide scale of projects.
"I am looking forward to introducing new procedures and policies, including some new green initiatives. I've already found the team really great to work with and am excited for upcoming cross-departmental collaboration that will really help us to deliver top-quality services.
"The last 18 months have presented many businesses with challenges, and the construction industry has had its fair share of difficulties. With Brexit, the pandemic and other unforeseen circumstances such as raw material availability and volatile commodities, businesses have had to learn to adapt and overcome problems that would have not been an issue three years ago.
"The Input Group is taking a more strategic proactive approach to managing procurement activities along with working closely with key suppliers to form and strengthen relationships. I’m looking forward to contributing to the strength, years of knowledge and expertise within The Input Group to strive and continue to exceed customers' expectations with minimal delays."
Also bolstering the procurement team, Jon Wall joins the firm with extensive experience in logistics and distribution and will ensure the smooth running of every project, enabling maximum efficiency.
Jon said: "The Input Group was highly recommended to me as an excellent place to work with great learning and development opportunities. I’m excited to work with more experienced colleagues to draw on their knowledge and to undertake my SIPS training."
Projects manager Paul Greaves also applied for the firm based on its culture. He brings with him more than 40 years of industry experience and a wealth of skills and qualifications. His recently completed Mental Health Awareness qualification will boost The Input Group’s already stringent health and safety policy, of which mental health forms a key element.
Paul said: "Joining The Input Group was the best decision I've made in a really long time. I couldn't ask to work for a better company – from the great team to the positive culture, I'm really enjoying it.
"It's a very exciting time to join the firm. I have a background in main contracting so I’m looking forward to being part of The Input Group's growth as it continues to diversify in its project work."
