Wates Developments has strengthened its senior team by selecting Matthew Tunley as a new land director.

Mr Tunley will be based in Surrey and is responsible for business land activity as well as identifying and securing new opportunities across Southern UK.

Having joined Wates from CEG in October, Mr Tunley has over 15 years’ experience in land, where he has worked in both house building and land promotions companies and on all types of sites.

Speaking on his appointment, Mr Tunley said: "I am delighted to be joining Wates Developments at this time as the business is growing quite significantly. I was attracted to Wates because of the reputation that it has in the market place for being a respectable and trustworthy partner. I am particularly looking forward to exploring future opportunities that exist to increase our land portfolio and grow the business even further."
