Approval Granted For Stratford Office Village Redevelopment

Planning consent has been granted for a mixed-use redevelopment project in Stratford.

Property developer Workspace Group is proposing to build 101 residential units on the site of Stratford Office Village near Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Plans for the site, which was valued at £14 million in March, involves replacing existing buildings to include a mix of townhouses, private apartments and 25% affordable housing. In addition, 13,000 sq ft of new commercial space will be built.

Jamie Hopkins, Chief Executive of Workspace, said: "We are delighted to have received planning permission for this redevelopment in Stratford, which will considerably increase the capital value of the site. This is one of a pipeline of opportunities that we are actively managing in order to drive shareholder returns over the long term."
