Galliford Try has been selected to deliver a £150m hospital redevelopment in Luton.

The firm was appointed as preferred supply chain partner under the ProCure21+ framework to support the project at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.

The scheme is to be delivered by the firm's Northern Home Counties division.

The project includes a new £80m 'Hot Block' for all critical care, surgery and other complex care procedures.


Other works include refurbishing several wards, delivering a new energy centre for the site and extending/refurbishing the Emergency Department.

Public facilities are to also be improved, including expanding the car park.

Work is due to begin to build a new £6m office block which is required to enable the delivery of the main works.
