Barnes Construction Awarded £4m Redevelopment Contract

Barnes Construction has been appointed to redevelop a shopping complex in Ipswich.

LaSalle Investment Management awarded the £4 million contract to transform the Tower Ramparts centre.

Plans include installing new entrances at Tavern Street and Crown Street along with a major internal refurbishment.

New toilet facilities will also be developed.

It is understood the centre will be renamed Sailmakers to celebrate the town's maritime heritage.

Gaving Ingram, Associate Director of LaSalle Investment Management, said: "We are delighted to have awarded the contract to Barnes who are a major local construction company with an excellent track record."
