BEW Electrical Services Ltd has announced it has completed the purchase of AMP Electrical Distributors Ltd.

The AMP Branch based in Leicester is perfectly located to connect with its Birmingham and Peterborough branches and is a welcome addition as the firm continues to expand and improve its Midlands operation.

The AMP name is well established in Leicester and it will continue to trade under that banner under the auspices of The BEW Group. Effectively AMP becomes another branch of BEW.


As a further indication of BEW's commitment to its future, AMP's Managing Director, Alex Parker, has been appointed a Sales Director of BEW.

A spokesperson said: "There was always a lot of synergy between the two companies including sharing the same Agathos Computer operating system. "This has helped make the integration of the two companies as seamless as possible.

"The AMP logo has already been given fresh new look that perfectly complements the existing BEW logo.

"This is an exciting acquisition for BEW as AMP’s annual turnover is in the region of £9,000,000. This addition to the business further enhances BEW's reputation as one of the leading independent electrical wholesalers in the country."
