A Burrowers Tale

Usually CES Hire Ltd's machines are used on building sites for new builds or maintenance work so we were very pleased and surprised to hear from the Production company working on the BBC 2 program 'The Burrowers' where they shed light on the magical underground world of three iconic British animals - badgers, water voles and rabbits - investigating wild burrows and creating full scale replicas too.

So why call CES Hire? Well, they needed to create a cast of a large rabbit burrow, which they could then excavate to reveal the labyrinth of tunnels a colony of rabbits creates. The Putzmeister SP11 was the perfect choice to gently fill all the tunnels with 10 tons of concrete leaving the structure intact.
