Miller Construction has been awarded another two packages through the Ministry of Justice Strategic Alliance Agreement Framework for the North.
The projects are for Courts in Durham, Cleveland and Northumbria, and Yorkshire.
Chris Webster, Chief Executive, Miller Construction, said: "We are delighted to have secured additional packages through this important framework. These are significant contracts for us and quickly follow on from our appointment at Manchester Crown Court, which was also the first contract let on the framework. We are committed to framework working, and look forward to delivering these works to the high standards, that we consistently deliver and, that our clients expect from us."
The projects in Durham, Cleveland and Northumbria covers 14 court houses and includes upgrading of electrical infrastructure, Building Management System (BMS) replacements and new boiler plant room equipment. The Yorkshire Courts package is spread across 5 courts and comprises new access lifts, new boiler plant room equipment, replacement glazing and new court seating.
All of the courts will remain fully operational throughout the works which have been programmed to maximise efficiencies and ensure minimum disruption to court sitting time and other day to day operations.
Chris Webster concluded: "This framework was a key win for us last year, and we remain fully committed to it for the next six years. Justice was one of our emerging markets throughout 2012 and I am delighted we are broadening our exposure to the market through the addition of contracts that will see us build on our experience in this area."
Miller was a new contractor to the framework when it was announced early last year, and is one of five contractors to be appointed to the Northern Framework.
Works are programmed to commence in January 2013.
