House prices will tumble 14% by the end of the year, according to a report issued this week by the centre for economics and business research (CEBR).

With the prospect of a buyers rather than sellers market looming large for the next six months, a well presented, well maintained property stands a much better chance of being sold for a reasonable amount than one marketed as a work in progress.
