Two workers have died at a Merseyside chipboard factory. Police, fire crews and emergency services were called to the Sonae factory in Kirkby around 1545 GMT.
The men died at the scene.
A joint investigation has been launched by Merseyside Police and the Health and Safety Executive.
Inquiries are now under way and the area has been cordoned off. Sonae, which makes woodchip for the construction and furniture industries, was fined £35,000 in 2003 for its part in an accident at the plant in which a worker broke his leg when he caught it in a piece of machinery.
