Kier Moss has been Highly Commended at the Constructing Excellence National Awards for its extensive partnership working with Gloucestershire County Council on the Coleford Community and Enterprise Centre.
After triumphing at the Constructing Excellence South West Awards in the Integrative and Collaborative Working category earlier this year, Kier Moss was automatically entered into the national heat which took place this month at the Connaught Rooms in London.
The Main Place, as it is now known, began with a number of challenges including a difficult budget, an eclectic mix of multiple stakeholders, infrastructure issues and a requirement to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating within tight monetary constraints. Kier Moss and Gloucestershire County Council worked closely together, overcoming the challenges, resolving any issues and successfully completing a fantastic community facility on time and to budget.
Constructing Excellence is the single organisation charged with driving the change agenda in construction, it exists to improve industry performance in order to produce a better built environment. The awards celebrate the best of Constructing Excellence on a national level and are designed to showcase and reward organisations and project teams that have achieved regional acclaim.
