The McGee Group are set to carry out the piling, groundworks, RC structural frame, cladding and external landscaping for a new Ibis Hotel development in Gloucester.

The contract is valued in the region of £3million and will start in January 2010. Accor Hotels is a global brand with hotels in 90 countries, with more than 4,000 hotels and 500,000 rooms.

This contract, with a major new client, represents a significant landmark for McGee Group as it continues its geographical expansion and strengthens its position as the leading specialist contractor in the UK for early stage works on commercial and mixed use developments.


McGee Group is unique in the UK in delivering all works for this scheme with its own, employed labour and its own plant and machinery.

Further to the Accor contract McGee Group Decontamination Division has recently been appointed to carry out an air monitoring contact for Bechtel International in Albania on the Rreshen-Kalismsh Motorway Project.

This follows on from the successful completion of several projects by McGee in Albania for Bechtel. McGee Group continues to broaden the scope of the group’s capabilities and can now offer its specialist contracting skills across a wide range of projects from infrastructure to mixed use to large residential developments.

McGee's Decontamination Division is UCAS accredited for asbestos surveys and has been safely removing and disposing of asbestos for 25 years.

McGee has carried out asbestos removal on major re-developments from the old Wembley Stadium to HM Treasury buildings in Whitehall.
