Horrible and very rude service!
Low quality structural drawings and no details for my contractor. He worked out with other engineers with better calculations.
Wasting time and money, impossible to contact them to complain or request the right drawings and calculations because they never reply to emails or messages over the phone.

I have worked with DBS on numerous occasions for over 10 years and have always found them to be excellent engineers whose quotes are competitive and they are always professional in every regard.
In my experience DBS work with me to achieve a viable and economic solution to any structural query we have. Without hesitation I would happily recommend them to any of my clients.

Absolutely ridiculous quotations,to request a full structural pack for side and rear
extensions is really over the market and the quality of the service
is hasty and poor.
My business partner, in the end, to contain the costs, requested
the design of just some beams and the result was just some
unreadable calculations by hand and very basic drawings
without proper structural details for the construction site.
Waste time, waste money, and when my business partner called them
for clarifications, they were always busy or they were not available
by phone. Really very upset for the treatment, and for my experience
I will not contact them anymore for sure.

I engaged John Sweetlove to provide structural engineering advice for a building project. The customer service was very poor with repeated failures to reply to email or complete the work within the agreed deadline. I only managed to get the work released by chasing them by phone and email. When I pointed out the difficulties encountered there was no apology or consideration.

Recommend seeking advice elsewhere - DBS just dont care about their customers and did not deliver the "prompt and friendly" service they claim on their website.
