E.ON Invites Residents To Find Out More About Its Wind Farm Proposals

E.ON is due to hold two public exhibitions to provide West Ancroft residents with the opportunity to voice their opinions about the plans for a new wind farm.

The exhibition will provide local residents with the chance to see the plans for the site and to ask the E.ON team any questions or queries. The sessions are due to take place at the Ancroft Memorial Hall on 19 November from 1pm to 6pm and again on 20 November between 1pm and 6pm.

Charles Rattan, Project Developer for E.ON Climate & Renewables, said: "I'd urge anybody living within the local community or anyone who is interested in the development, to come along to one of the events and to see what our plans are.

"We want to ensure that the local community is kept up-to-date with our plans, which is why we are holding these events. We'll also be working to make sure that local stakeholders are kept informed at all stages."

E.ON submitted a scoping statement in November 2007, with a view to building an eight turbine wind farm at the West Ancroft site.

If built, the wind farm is expected to generate approximately 18MW of energy and to provide enough renewable power for around 10,200 homes saving approximately 20,793 tonnes of CO2 per annum.
