Kirkcaldy Station Uses Addastone Surface

Addastone from Addagrip Ltd has just been laid as part of the re-generation programme by Fife Regional Council at Kirkcaldy railway station.

Resarf Flooring Ltd, part of The Fraser Bruce Group, was appointed by the main contractor, T&N Gilmartin, to lay 2500 square metres of Addastone with a golden pea gravel to all the paths and walking aisles around the car park area leading to the station.

Kirkcaldy has, of late, become a very popular commuter area for Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh. It became necessary to dramatically increase the available parking by almost five-fold, to 500 spaces.

Addastone is Addagrip’s flagship product with a proven ten year record for durability. It uses natural or recycled aggregates bound with clear or coloured resins for a textured finish and the appearance of loose gravel without the associated problems.

“We know from many years of working with Addagrip Ltd that they have extremely high quality expectations, similar to our own, which is why we would normally specify Addastone ahead of other products of similar nature,” commented Jamie Bruce, contracts manager at Resarf Flooring Ltd.
