Vistry has secured planning permission for 469 new homes in Huddersfield.
As part of the delivery, 154 homes have been forward sold to Vico Homes in line with Vistry’s partner-delivery model. Vico Homes is a major housing provider with more than 32,000 homes across the North of England.
The remainder will be offered for private rent or sold on the open market under Vistry's Bovis Homes brand. Miller Homes will also deliver a further 231 houses as part of the wider scheme.
The site lies 3.5km south-west of the town centre and spans former industrial land and areas of farmland. Plans include green corridors, a central park and multiple play areas, with 25% of the site set aside as green space to deliver a 10% biodiversity net gain.
Andrew Poyner, Managing Director of Vistry West Yorkshire, said: "This significant site is a great example of what Vistry does best – regenerating a brownfield site whilst partnering with others to deliver a range of housing choice. We look forward to work now getting underway and to creating this vibrant new community in Huddersfield."
