Vistry has secured a new land parcel at Kingsgrove in Wantage that will deliver 129 new homes, all of which will be provided at affordable tenures.
Under the group’' partner delivery model, Vistry has entered into a forward-sale agreement with housing provider Abri, which will acquire the homes once completed. Abri will fund the development through a combination of its own investment and grant support from its Strategic Partnership with Homes England.
The project marks the latest collaboration between Vistry and Abri, who have already delivered hundreds of homes together across the south of England.
The Kingsgrove site received Reserved Matters consent in December 2025, with construction expected to begin this spring. All of the houses will be built using timber frames manufactured by Vistry Works, the company’s off-site manufacturing arm, which uses modern methods of construction to speed up delivery.
Supriya Ray, Regional Managing Director of Vistry Cotswolds, said: "We're delighted to be strengthening our partnership with Abri through this latest phase at Kingsgrove. Delivering the site as a fully affordable development will have a significant impact on the area's affordable housing supply, whilst we're also utilising Vistry Works to deliver the homes quickly and sustainably, maximising the strengths of the Group."
Ross Heriot, Senior Land Manager from Abri, added: "Our partnership with Vistry has already delivered hundreds of high-quality homes, and this latest phase at Kingsgrove is another great example of what we can achieve together. Working with trusted partners like Vistry enables us to make a real difference for communities, helping more people access sustainable and affordable homes. We're excited to build on this momentum in 2026 with the rollout of Abri's bold and ambitious new corporate strategy for 2026–2031."
