Independent construction and property consultancy Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB UK) has completed a major refurbishment of its Birmingham office at 15 Colmore Row.
The works incorporated sustainable materials, energy-efficient systems, and saw furniture recycled and repurposed to reduce environmental impact.
Vincent Pegg, RLB’s City lead for Birmingham, said: "RLB is proud of its Birmingham roots that date all the way back to 1947 and we are committed to continuing our investment in the local community and economy. This is why it was important to us to work with local contractors, including Overbury Birmingham, and suppliers such as Quarter Horse Coffee based in the Jewellery Quarter.
"This refurbishment marks a significant step forward in our journey to create a workplace that reflects who we are, how we work, and where we are headed."
Key features of the refurbishment include:
• A welcome space designed to support client engagement and host town hall meetings, internal briefings, and external events.
• Reconfigured workspaces to support agile and hybrid working, including a co-working zone for staff, clients, and visitors.
• Enhanced meeting and collaboration areas, combining open desk spaces with quiet zones for focused work.
• Improved wellbeing and breakout areas, including sofas and blankets that can be used for breastfeeding, meditation and prayers.
