Local energy experts, Eeco Energy, are thrilled to launch their new partnership with Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, aiming to raise vital funds to support local people on their cancer journey.
Staff and customers are 'powered up' with plenty of plans for fundraising events, volunteering and raising cancer awareness in the workplace. All funds raised throughout the year will stay local and fund the charity’s highly in demand support services, along with sustaining the charity’s first Therapeutic Cancer Support Centre in Enniskillen.
Rosie Forsythe, Corporate Fundraising Manager, from Cancer Focus NI said: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Eeco Energy on board as a corporate charity partner. Their commitment to sustainability and community wellbeing aligns with our mission to support people affected by cancer across Northern Ireland. Together, we hope to make a powerful partnership."
She continued: "In order for us to provide our free cancer support services to patients and families, Cancer Focus NI need to raise £4.6 million each year, which we could not do if it wasn’t for the help of businesses like Eeco Energy."
Stuart Laing from Eeco Energy said: "We're incredibly proud to team up with Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, a brilliant local charity doing life-changing work for cancer patients and their families."
The charity's new strategic direction will see Therapeutic Support Centres opening over the next 5-7 years, bringing their cancer support services directly to towns and cities across the country. Businesses will play a huge role over the coming months and years by ensuring the delivery and sustainability of the Centres.
