Persimmon Homes has acquired a brownfield site in Surrey with full planning consent from Homes England, paving the way for a major new housing development in Frimley.
The former Mitie offices in Sturt Road will be demolished to make way for 157 new homes, while a historic Victorian pump house will be converted to create three additional homes. Of the total, 15 properties will be delivered as Discounted Market Sale units to support local housing needs.
The site is located five miles from Persimmon's Thames Valley head office in Camberley and sits close to Frimley Lodge Park, which offers community amenities including sports pitches, a miniature railway, play area and café.
Dan Castle, Managing Director of Persimmon Thames Valley, said: "We are delighted to have been able to work with Homes England to complete this acquisition and secure this key site.
"This will rejuvenate this brownfield site and bring it back into use, creating much-needed new homes for Frimley. The site benefits from full planning permission and that will allow us to move forward with our development imminently."
