Galliford Try Building London and South East Commercial’s flagship Dolphin Square project has secured two major accolades at the Global Real Estate Institute (GRI) Awards, winning both Build-to-Rent (BTR) Project of the Year and Residential Project of the Year.
The prestigious GRI Awards recognise organisations and developments that are shaping European real estate, celebrating projects that stand out for their design, quality of life and collaborative leadership.
Dolphin Square, a landmark Pimlico estate originally built in the 1930s, is home to more than 1,500 residents across 13 ten-storey blocks, or “Houses,” each named after a celebrated navigator or admiral. The ongoing restoration project, delivered in partnership with AXA IM Alts and the Dolphin Square management team, will modernise the 7.5-acre site to provide more than 1,200 high-quality private rental apartments with upgraded amenities and communal areas.
Galliford Try is currently leading the second phase of the estate’s redevelopment, which includes the refurbishment of six blocks — Keyes, Hood, Collingwood, Frobisher, Grenville and Drake — comprising 542 homes ranging from studios to six-bedroom apartments. The phase also features the renewal of Dolphin Square’s renowned swimming pool and spa facilities.
When complete, the phased restoration will breathe new life into the 795,990 sq ft estate, ensuring its position as one of London's most significant build-to-rent developments while preserving its historic character.
