City Gate Construction (CGC) has been awarded a high-profile contract to refurbish the hugely popular F1 Arcade in Birmingham.
The social gaming attraction brings the excitement, glamour and thrills of Formula 1 to the heart of the city, with 53 full-motion racing simulators, tasty food and drink menus – all in a bar atmosphere.
The concept caters to a wide range of groups and occasions, from fun-filled nights out to family experiences, corporate events and everything in between.
Client Kindred Concepts awarded the £75,000 contract to CGC, and the project at F1 Arcade will entail:
• Three new waiter stations
• One new DJ booth
• Mesh curtain
• Pit wall drinks shelf
• Drinks shelves
• And 31 drinks tables
The programme of works is similar to the one carried out by CGC at Puttshack, which has pioneered tech-infused indoor mini-golf – again in a social food-and-drink setting.
At F1 Arcade, specialist oak material sprays will be applied to client colours, and elsewhere bronze-effect furniture legs and unique ironmongery will feature.
The project commenced in the middle of July, 2023, and is scheduled to one completed at the end of October.
A CGC spokesman said: "We're thrilled to have been entrusted by Kindred Concepts to upgrade their go-to hospitality venue for Formula 1 fans and non-fans alike.
"It's a premium entertainment offering in a visually stimulating setting – plus it's a cutting-edge experience."
