A charter has been signed which will ensure the development of Heathrow creates a lasting legacy for the local community and for the UK as a whole.
VGC put pen to paper on the Collaborative Relationship charter, which provides a framework for the way VGC and fellow labour partner, Danny Sullivan Group will work together to support clients Morgan Sindall and Heathrow.
VGC has been working at Heathrow since 2013. The company provides skilled people and civil engineering projects for a range of requirements such as the upgrade of the airport's taxiways.
Other partners working with Morgan Sindall and Heathrow include Flannery Plant, Atkins, Tarmac, LeverTech and Baker Hicks.
The partners will have a one-team approach, collaborating in areas from design and engineering to technology. This will allow everyone to achieve outcomes such as carbon reduction and improved safety.
The charter will look to develop the skills set within Heathrow and leave a lasting legacy, as well as put a focus on mental health and fatigue.
Chris Ryan, director at VGC, said: "We are delighted to announce that VGC is now a strategic partner for Morgan Sindall at Heathrow, adding to our status as founding members of the labour desk.
"This puts us in an excellent position to be part of the future expansion of Heathrow.
"VGC already excels in many of the key areas outlined in the charter as part of our commitment to Go Beyond.
"We are a people business with a passion for making a difference and want to deliver a positive contribution for the benefit of all stakeholders."
