A-Plant Places £1.4m Order For New Static Welfare Units

Construction News Image
A-Plant Accommodation has unveiled details of a large welfare unit order with Genquip Groundhog.

The £1.4 million deal will see a total of 68 static welfare units supplied to A-Plant, replenishing its fleet of static welfare units.

Several of the units will be delivered straight from the production line to site, with a number being immediately hired to act as Polling Stations for the forthcoming election.

AS well as large canteen, office, drying and toilet facilities, the eco-friendly units provide energy efficient site accommodation with high specification features, such as full flush toilets, double glazing, extra insulation and significantly reduced carbon dioxide emissions through reduced usage of the on board generator.

Ian Needham, A-Plant's Director of Accommodation said: "There is huge demand for the new units and we have met very tight deadlines to ensure that a number of them are ready and in place for the elections. Over the last three years, we have invested over £6m million with Genquip Groundhog and this latest tranche of investment confirms that A-Plant Accommodation has one of the most modern national fleets of temporary accommodation across the hire industry, with the broadest spread of units comprising static, mobile and environmentally friendly units."
