Construction News Image
E.ON has launched a new offer of free cavity wall and standard loft insulation, plus a cheque for £100, to anyone in receipt of Child Tax Credit where their annual household income is less than £16,190 or to anyone claiming Pension Credit.

The offer is open to anyone who fits these criteria - whether they are an E.ON customer or not - and E.ON estimates that over 700,000 households could benefit.

Experts at E.ON have calculated that the average home can save up to £390 a year on their energy bills2 by insulating homes with cavity wall and loft insulation, yet a recent survey for the company showed that over half of those questioned (57%) had no idea that such savings are possible.

Nigel Dewbery, from E.ON's Energy Efficiency Team, said: "We're committed to helping the UK get energy fit, and this new offer allows us to reach some of the most vulnerable people in society with the three-fold benefit of free insulation, lower energy bills, plus a cheque for £100 to offer help in paying energy bills.

"We hope to be inundated with requests from people wanting to take us up on this unique offer."
