Victoria Plumb, the UK's leading bathroom retailer has been presented with the prestigious Retailer of the year award in the home products category at the recent Venda ECMOD Direct Commerce Awards in London.
Against a strong shortlist, the Yorkshire based brand claimed the coveted prize at the national Venda-ECMOD Awards ceremony, held at Stamford Bridge the home of Chelsea Football Club, and hosted by Sky News anchor Dermot Murnaghan.
Now in their 15th year, these annual awards recognise the achievements of businesses in the catalogue and multichannel retail sector. Previous award winners include high profile retailers such as John Lewis Direct, Very.co.uk, Littlewoods and Argos. This was the first time Victoria Plumb had been entered for the awards and the win is another successful landmark for the brand.
Ged Lees, Managing Director of Victoria Plumb said: "We are absolutely delighted to have won the Venda-Ecmod award. It's great to be recognised by our peers in the e-commerce and home shopping industry, especially in such a competitive sector. The entire team have been working exceptionally hard to achieve strong year on year results and this underlines Victoria Plumb as a leading retailer in our sector."
Caroline Saich, Ecmod awards organiser added: "These awards are a definitive measure of success in the catalogue and multichannel retail sector. They are a true celebration of excellence for businesses at all stages and development and in product specialities. All the winners should be incredibly proud, as the competition was exceptionally fierce this year."
