Lovell has been chosen by Wales & West Housing Association to build a £1.6 million affordable homes scheme at Coychurch, near Bridgend in Mid Glamorgan, South Wales.
The 16 two- and three-bedroom houses, all for affordable rent through WWHA, will be built to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, the system for measuring the environmental performance of new housing. Sustainable features will include solar panels on the roofs of the properties.
The homes are set to be completed in February 2011.
Anne Hinchey, Chief Executive of Wales & West Housing Association, said: "This is another key development for Wales & West Housing Association which will provide more much-needed affordable, high quality homes for people in Bridgend. We’re delighted to be working with Lovell again, with whom we already have a long and successful relationship."
