Close, Granger, Gray & Wilkin are currently involved in the design and detailing of the demolition of The Venue (& former Carmichael's Department Store) in George Street, Hull and it's rebuild as a five storey Hotel Development.

The proposal involves the retention of the front facade onto George Street, with rebuilding works involving a basement to match existing materials and the historical appearance and setting.

The front facade will be cleaned and restored to return the exterior of the structure to it's original state.
