Over £450,000 Available For UK Solar Power Businesses

Over £450,000 in funding is available to UK businesses which develop solar power technologies.

As part of a Europe-wide competition Solar-era.net, Innovate UK has up to £455,000 available for UK businesses to invest in new manufacturing techniques, products and services in the solar energy field.

The competition aims to strengthen the European manufacturing base as well as increase European market share in the sector.

UK companies could use the funding to develop:

• innovative and low-cost photovoltaic manufacturing issues

• advanced photovoltaic products and applications

• photovoltaic system integration

• aspects of concentrating solar power cost reduction and system integration

The competition is open now and the deadline for pre-proposal applications is 4pm on 20 February 2017.
