Cornerbrook Lifting Consultants provide CPCS training, NVQs, lifting consultancy and bespoke training to the lifting industry. We run our CPCS training school from our base in Rossendale, Lancashire and can also offer off site lifting training at your place of work or site if required. Our aim is to develop peoples skill-sets and provide safer lifting operations.

CPCS Training
All lifting operations need to be planned and managed this is a requirement by law. The people involved in a lifting operation should be suitably trained to undertake the task required.

Cornerbrook Lifting offers the CPCS training scheme, one of the largest and most well-known card schemes for the construction and plant industry. The program aims to recognize the skills, knowledge, understanding, competence, and qualifications of plant operators and others involved in plant operations. It’s based on a mix of professional competence, on-site experience, and health and safety awareness. By improving skills and knowledge in the workplace, the CPCS training helps make construction projects more efficient, safer, and of a higher standard.

The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) provides cards for the plant sector of the construction and allied industries. CPCS stands for the Construction Plant Competence Scheme- a card scheme designed to prove the skills of plant operatives.

Bespoke Training
Lifting operations can have a serious impact on yourselves and others, the Law stipulates that all lifting operations require suitable planning , managing and adequate supervision. Not all lifting operations require an accredited qualification like CPCS.

Cornerbrook Lifting Consultants can deliver a bespoke training package to suit your company requirements, this can be delivered here at our base in Rossendale Lancashire or onsite to minimise cost and disruption.

NVQs
On achieving your Red Trained Operator Card you are required to undertake the relevant NVQ to upgrade to the Blue Competent Operator Card. The red card lasts for just 2 years and within this time you must be registered for the relevant NVQ and complete it. Although it is a mandatory part of the CPCS scheme the NVQ is a stand alone qualification awarded by an Awarding Body which endorses competence in the workplace.

Cornerbrook can take you every step of the way to ensure you attain the qualification you need. These qualifications can be used throughout your working life and can be taken from site to site with the knowledge that it shows the employer you are competent and able to work to recognised industry standards. The NVQ qualification gives proof you have reached a certain standard within your occupation.
