A Victorian terrace property in Prestwich, Greater Manchester, has recently undergone a full structural kitchen renovation to create a bright, open-plan living and dining space tailored for modern family life.

The project involved removing the dividing wall between the original kitchen and dining room to form a seamless open-plan layout. Structural steel was installed to ensure full compliance with building regulations, and the existing kitchen floor was carefully levelled to align with the rest of the ground floor. These structural changes dramatically improved both flow and functionality while maintaining the character of the period property.

The design brief centred around clean lines and contemporary simplicity. The homeowners selected a true handleless kitchen from the Porter range in Bay Green, creating a bold yet elegant statement within the newly opened space. Durable quartz worktops were installed to complement the cabinetry, and a new window was added to maximise natural light. The former rear door was bricked up using matching materials to preserve the original external appearance of the property.
