Before this year’s Stockport Art Guilds annual exhibition, I needed to complete a risk assessment relating to working at height and facilitating the hanging of art works. As part of the service offered by HSE, I was able to discuss Health and Safety considerations with a member of their team. This along with my reading of related standards, was invaluable and I felt reassured in choosing an option from the: Steptek Classic Mobile Steps range, (SKU: S360; 2 tread). The British Standard BS EN 131 compliance and BS kitemark (KM 608967) were important factors in my decision to purchase this product. I felt reassured that I was buying the best safety steps available. I liked the square 406cm X 406cm Platform, ribbed rubber treads with metal tread claps and enhanced high visibility yellow edge. The yellow edge proved useful in contrasting against the dark coloured gallery floor. I also liked the safety rails and the weight activated caster system which combined to create a stable and comfortable place to work. The safe higher working load of 150kgs was also reassuring. The mounting and dismounting along with the step’s increased manoeuvrability was a great improvement compared with setting and resetting ladders, also a boon to efficiency. The Steps permitted a freer range of movement than the ladders previously used and I felt, also offered improved safety when handling and operating equipment. The need to use one’s heel to stabilise, as with ladders was also removed. In use at the Gallery, I am delighted with the Steptek Classic Mobile Steps. I believe they are a great improvement in terms of Health and Safety; comfort and efficiency compared to the ladder option previously in use. I would definitely recommend them, when considering options for working at height in an art gallery or other similar settings. The feedback from my colleagues after using the steps was extremely positive.

Great service by HSE. Bought a step up and step ladder, the website was very informative of pictures and dimensions which for this purchase was critical. The prices were competitive and delivery good. Would happily use them again.

I required 2 keys for 2 Armorgard boxes which had been left on site by our builders who had gone into liquidation halfway into our new-build project. Ordered the part and sadly arrived damaged - however Gary took immediate ownership and had a rectified part with us in record time ! super customer service - much appreciated and will for sure use again

Very pleased with our purchase of a Bisley drawer cabinet. Although delivery was a little later than expected the communication was excellent. We were provided with a tracking number. The cabinet was delivered safely and so well packaged it took a while to unpack. The delivery team kept us informed on the time of delivery and phoned us 20 minutes before arrival. They were polite and helpful. They offered to unpack the cabinet for us but we said we could manage. We had a phone call 10 minutes later to make sure we were happy with the item. Thankyou
