Drone Survey and Inspection
For roof, bridge, land or large building surveys and inspections - drones are quickly becoming the preferred choice for engineers, construction and asset managers because they offer great advantages in safety and speed of access.
Land surveys, aerial asset inspection and roof inspections all carry inherent risks using traditional methods.
Using the latest commercial drone technology, Skytech Cambridge are able to complete timely and safe visual drone survey and inspection work while reducing traditional associated costs.
We can offer rapid deployment to carry out a comprehensive drone inspection or survey at any location around the UK.

Drone Photography and Film
We are proud to offer a complete photography and film service to a wide range of different industries. Utilising the latest drone technology to capture stunning ultra-HD video and high resolution photography. Our ground equipment is equally as impressive using Sony cinema cameras and lenses, gimbal stabilisation, motorised dolly sliders, rugged and secure memory cards and professional audio capture. Everything is processed in-house and can be delivered to our clients in any format via a secure delivery platform accessible from anywhere in the world.
Stunning video filmed up to 8K ProRes RAW or CinemaDNG and photos up to 45 megapixels - our drones and ground cameras can capture stunningly beautiful imagery which is colour graded, edited and then delivered in any format.
Ground Photography and Filming
Using the latest Sony mirrorless digital cameras - we're able to capture film at up to 120fps native 4K and high resolution photos. A variety of zoom and prime lenses means we're ready to cover any type of event.
Event Photography and Filming
We love producing content for events. Whether it's a corporate function, a charity fundraiser or a personal celebration, we can tailor packages to your exact requirements.
In-House Editing, Colour Grading and Production
All videos and photos captured from our drones and ground cameras can be processed in house and delivered in any format.
360° Panoramas and Time Lapse
Our drones can create stunning high resolution and fully interactive 360° panoramas. We can also produce drone based time lapse media as well as conventional ground based time lapses.
Drone Mapping and 3D Modelling
Using the latest photogrammetry techniques allows us to produce incredibly accurate and detailed 2D and 3D maps of individual buildings right through to entire construction sites or agricultural land. We also specialise in creating 'digital twin' asset 3D models with unparalleled detail and accuracy.

I asked Sky Tech Cambridge to carry out a drone inspection to check the condition of the roof and chimneys of a Grade 2 listed house. Really pleased with the prompt response and for the excellent images that the drone produced. Without a drone this inspection could not have been carried out without significant scaffolding. As it was the whole inspection took less than an hour and I am really pleased with the results. I would certainly recommend Sky Tech Cambridge and would use them again.

SkyTech Cambridge appointed to capture the 2024 TTP Cambridge Half Marathon
SkyTech Cambridge, a local drone services company, has been asked to capture stunning aerial footage of the race as well as providing the race organisers with a unique perspective of the course and its surroundings for security and crowd monitoring purposes.
Attracting over 11,000 runners from across the UK and beyond, the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon has become a must-do event for both serious athletes and casual runners alike. It offers participants a challenging yet scenic 13.1 mile course that winds its way through some of the city's most iconic landmarks and picturesque neighborhoods with a festive atmosphere, enthusiastic supporters, and a reputation for being one of the most well-organised races in the country.
Founder of SkyTech Cambridge, Marc Mann, commented: “It is fantastic to be invited back by organisers of the Cambridge Half Marathon, OSB Events and Two26 Photography. We are looking forward to providing them with high quality aerial media as well as assisting them to deliver a safe and enjoyable event by providing real-time visual oversight for the duration of the event.”
With state-of-the-art equipment and an experienced team of pilots and camera operators, SkyTech Cambridge has revolutionised the way in which race organisers can monitor and manage large-scale events. Using the latest drone and streaming technologies, they are able to transmit a secure high resolution live video feed, allowing organisers to monitor the movement of runners and crowds, and detect any potential security or safety issues in real-time.
The technical challenge
Live streaming at large-scale events can present significant technical challenges, particularly in areas where network connectivity is limited. Use of 4G/5G for live streaming was not possible last year due to the high contention of the network so SkyTech Cambridge used a high-bandwidth dedicated local wifi connection which guaranteed a high-quality live stream was transmitted. They will also be testing Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet connection at the event this year. With much of the work that SkyTech Cambridge carries out being in remote areas with patchy network coverage, it is expected that this exciting new technology may be the future of their connectivity requirements for drone operations.
Adam Moffat, Race Director, commented: “Having a drone feed provided by SkyTech into our multi agency control center has greatly assisted the management of the Cambridge Half Marathon. It allows us to make real time decisions with our team on the ground, based on live footage. Furthermore, it has allowed us to review our site layout and athlete/spectator flows post event making informed decisions for future years.”
