External job in Gosforth August 2024. Sash windows/door frames/doors/outside masonry paint. Hired on a good conversation at the outset with Dermot and having looked at photos of previous work that seemed ok. Results were Awful. Botched filling. Masking a mess and uneven throughout job. Paint flaking off door. Paint flaking off window frames. Paint runs everywhere. Cracks everywhere. Paint slopped on brickwork. I’ve had a few people check this work and submitted it to a couple of traditional building forums online for appraisal (as admittedly I’m no painting expert). The comments I received were even harsher than my own. Tardy in responding when I flagged issues and has now taken the huff and refused to even come back and look at the mess he’s made. I’m out of pocket circa £1400 and considering options. Avoid like the plague unless you want a poor job and a bucket load of hassle.
