About C 2 Safety

Looking for a professional pragmatic safety advisor?

With strategically located offices and Safety Advisors based all across the UK we are able to support you wherever in the country you may be.

From Cornwall to Perth, we work with a multitude of businesses across a wide variety of sectors, helping to ensure their continued compliance with the appropriate legislation.

While Health and Safety is at the centre of what we do, we’ve grown to offer so much more. Whether you need Fire Extinguishers or servicing for them, HR support, or a Principal Designer to ensure you keep your construction project legal, we’re here to help.

Health & Safety Advisor Services
Although we cannot take away the legal duties placed upon you, we can help with the multitude of tasks that get forgotten about and shoved to the bottom of your overflowing in tray!

Safety audits, reviews & inspections
We help them by performing site audits and inspections to highlight areas of concern, improvement and best practice with appropriate corrective actions.

The audits are carried out by one of our industry specialist safety advisors and the duration depends on the size of the business and risks presented. The advisor will know the regulations relevant to your industry and the appropriate questions to ask.

At the end of the audit we discuss, with the nominated safety contact, the best way to deal with the issues presented whilst always bearing in mind the costs and disruption compared with the risks and increased safety of the employees.

Risk Assessments
We all hear the term risk assessment banded around on a daily basis but what does it mean and in particular what does it mean to you, the UK’s employers.

A risk assessment identifies:
  • What could go wrong and to whom
  • What control measures are in place
  • What else could we do to reduce the risk to our employees and others

RAMS
It is the law to have a written Safe System of Work in place if you employ 5 or more people.

Risk Assessments and Method Statements coupled together can act as your safety system.

While RAMS can be used by any business to improve health and safety, they are used mostly in the construction industry and contractors can use RAMS to demonstrate their safe work practices.

Construction (Design & Management)
The Construction, Design and Management regulations were created to safeguard the health and safety of every single person working on a construction project. They also ensure that the appropriate people are selected for the planning and safe implementation of procedures throughout a project.

Fire Risk Assessments
All of our Fire Risk Assessors are qualified to national standards and have a passion for Fire Safety in the workplace. The Regulatory Reform (Fire & Safety) Order 2005, compels every business owner and employer to be able to demonstrate the following:
  • That fire risks have been assessed and the results recorded with a written fire risk assessment and reviewed regularly.
  • Records to show that fire-fighting equipment has been provided, properly maintained and regularly inspected.
  • An Emergency Action Plan has been written, confirmed and published.
  • Staff have received fire training in the use of equipment & procedures in the event of a fire.
  • There are adequate means of fire detection, warning systems and escape routes in place to allow people to leave the building safely.
  • Fire evacuation drills have been carried out and recorded.

Health and Safety Policies
C2 Safety create Health and Safety Policies tailored to the specific needs of your business. We do not offer generic health and safety policies.
At C2 Safety we make it as easy as possible for companies to comply with Health and Safety Legislation and good working practices.

The law states that every business must have a policy for managing health and safety and it must state clearly, your general approach to health and safety. It will define how, as an employer, you manage health and safety within your business, stating who does what, when, and how.

If your business has five or more employees, it is required that your health and safety policy is written down. While not a requirement if you have fewer than five employees, it is always a good idea to have a written copy.
