Involving an SHA Environmental Sustainability Champion early on can also help to reduce the costs associated with issues like re-submitting planning applications, or trying to implement design changes later in the project, where costs will inevitably increase.


• Design and Pre-Construction
  From Design Stage Reviews to provision of SBEM Calculations including Water & Daylight Calculations for building regulation compliance, SHA Environmental’s Sustainability Champions work in a timely and cost-effective manner to help ensure your building design meets requirements. During this phase, our Sustainability Champions will work with the project team to ensure the key sustainability drivers for the project are integrated into the design.


• Post-Construction / Completion
  SHA Environmental specialise in the provision services from building compliance testing to the issuing of SBEM/EPC Certification. Our qualified and accredited Sustainability Champions have extensive experience in helping clients to achieve full building compliance. Our team help carry out Part E Air Permeability Testing and Acoustic Testing for both small and large-scale commercial schemes throughout London and the rest of the UK.

• Planning
  At SHA Environmental, we understand that when you’re planning a residential build, the last thing you want is to hear a “no” from Building Control. We give you one less headache by providing a Sustainability Champion to help during the planning stages of your project, including reviewing designs to see how they can be enhanced from a sustainability and energy point of view.


• Design and Pre-Construction
  There are certain elements of the Building Regulations which centre around ensuring that your development project will achieve certain levels of energy efficiency, particularly your heating and ventilation systems; insulation and air tightness; lighting and water usage. Understanding these requirements and ensuring your development meets them can be a bit of a minefield for some…but our Sustainability Champions are here to help.


• Post-Construction / Completion
  Once your build is complete, you’ll need to have it tested to ensure that the intial goals have been met. Our Sustainability Champions help to carry out air permeability testing and acoustic testing for residential projects throughout the UK, helping a whole range of individuals, local builders and developers to achieve Part L compliance each year.
