Affordable Paving & Landscaping Ltd

Made a deal with both Jerry and Bill Delaney to do the fencing, paving, and turfing of our garden. The job was commenced 20th May and they said it will be completed within 1-2 weeks. Of all the contractors who came to assess the job, I chose them because the quotation was reasonable and that they could start and finish the work immediately. Lo and behold, few days while doing the job, there were already issues of them not coming and the materials not yet available. We were asked to give them money so they could get all the materials readily available but to no avail. As soon as they took the money, they never showed up anymore. Jerry said they have underestimated the cost of the job and that the quote they gave us (which was agreed and signed in the contract) could only cover the fencing. Is this how a responsible and professional contractor should be? Until now I havent heard any from them. Hence, my concern has already been raised to court. I hope you read this and wont experience the same dilemma I have experienced with Affordable Paving and Landscaping Limited.
