About Winchcombe Tile Ltd

Concrete & Stone Cotswold Roof Tiles

A beautiful, quality assured roofing material for the 21st century, and a fantastic alternative to original Cotswold roof tiles. Here at Winchcombe Tile, we are a leading replica Cotswold roof tiles, concrete and stone roof tiles supplier and manufacturer based in Gloucestershire.

Our replica concrete and stone Cotswold roof tiles are:
  • Approved for Listed buildings in the Cotswolds
  • Product specification conforms to EN 490
  • Lucideon (formerly CERAM) tested

Whether you are the owner of a historic building, or an architect looking for a visually appealing material to set your development apart. Winchcombe Tile without doubt offers the most elegant and cost effective alternatives to natural stone roof tiles on the market.

We’re not limited in the types of stone we can reproduce; we are able to duplicate colour, tone and texture of most regional stones – not just in the UK, but across Europe also. Please contact us to discuss any special requirements you may have.

Potential Uses
The best alternative to natural stone. Although at present we are focusing on an alternative to Cotswold Stone, we can recreate the colour and texture of most regional stones with a very high level of accuracy. This means that there isn’t a region across the country, or even across Europe that could not benefit from the use of our product. We will be duplicating different regional stones in due course, but if you would like us to recreate a different type of stone for a large project in the mean time, we can certainly help and would love to hear from you.

Heritage listed buildings:
Everyone would agree that the heritage trust does wonderful work in preserving old Britain; however, most owners of listed buildings really do face difficult challenges maintaining them. The expense of replacing original materials like-for-like is incredibly high, and no more so is this true than when replacing Cotswold Stone Tiles.

The good news is that, not only is the Winchcombe Tile considerably cheaper than Cotswold Stone, it has also gained approval for usage on listed buildings from Cotswold District Council.

This is a new product and we are a new company and therefore we are still gaining approvals on a regional basis. We are already in discussion with Wychavon District Council and more will follow. Please contact us if you are unsure as to suitability for your area.

Tile Durability
We started Winchcombe Tile with the sole aim of creating the best product on the market. You will be pleased to know that we have been successful in our aim.

European Standards really do set a definitive benchmark as to what a quality product is and what a quality product should be. Perhaps that's why so many of our competitors pay homeage to the standards?

We do far more then pay homage - our product full conforms to EN 490 and Lucideon (formerly CERAM) have certified our product to EN 491, which covers impermiability testing and transverse strength testing. Their seal is your guarantee of a quality product not just for today, but for many years to come.
