They have spent the last 9 months renovating a property for us and we have now found out that they have not had the building inspector in at any time during the build.
We called the inspector in and he has found that no damp proofing has been done, undersized timbers in the floor and ceilings, no insulation to the floors, no insulation to the walls, no smoke alarms, no extractor fan in the bathroom and the drains are not to, spec. Also the standard of the finish is poor.
The whole of the interior is going to have to be ripped out and steel beams fitted to support the ceilings, they also tried to withhold the part P docs and tried to blackmail us for the energy certificate.
They walked of site and are now refusing to help in any way and will not answer emails or telephone calls
