Paul Smith established Pulse Engineering Services in 2011 after 20 years’ experience within refrigeration and air conditioning. Originally born in South Africa, a country with warm temperatures all year round, heavily relying on cold storage. Paul grew up in a family of engineers, helping out on the family’s refrigeration and air conditioning business from a young age. This was the perfect foundation for the start of his engineering career.

Refrigeration
Pulse Engineering Services specialize in all types of commercial and industrial refrigeration. Our trained Engineers and are able to perform all types of service and maintenance procedures when required. Whether large or small we undertake a wide range of installations, repairs and maintenance across the whole spectrum of equipment from shop floor refrigeration to walk in cold rooms.

We will always endeavour to not disrupt your working day when carrying out any service, maintenance or repair whilst our Engineers are on your property. Should it become necessary to shut down any equipment we will advise your company representative accordingly and try, as much as is possible, to keep disruption to a minimum.

Pulse Engineering Services operate with a team of highly skilled Electricians and are able to perform all types of electrical repair and maintenance tasks on a daily basis. The installations we carry out are all strictly in accordance with IEE Regulations. We cater for industrial and commercial customers and our services range from installations, maintenance and repairs.

Our Expertise
The following 20 years saw him work his way up within a variety of different South African companies. Companies included working on the shipping docks at South Africa’s main shipping port in Cape Town, refrigerated ships, servicing 5 star hotels, office blocks and cold storage for vineyards and fruit farms.

Six years ago, drawn to his British heritage, Paul decided to move to the UK. He felt as if he had achieved everything he could in South Africa and was now ready for a new challenge.

After a few years exploring the British market, Paul took the plunge and launched Pulse Engineering in 2011. The company grew from a man in a van, to a business quickly growing to a team of highly skilled and reliable engineers.

From food retailers and pub chains, to cold food storage, Pulse prides itself in having strong relationships with clients. 90% of business is won through recommendation which speaks volumes.
