What Exactly is a Waterwell Borehole?
In one sentence, a water well borehole is your own private water supply, obtained from your land.

We drill to a depth below the ground water level, as much as 200m. Once the borehole is done, we protect it by inserting a well casing - this stops the walls of the borehole from collapsing. Next we install a pump which is used to bring your water to ground level, and we install a cover to protect your new water supply from pollution. We can, if you require, then install a water storage system, and, if necessary, install a water treatment system to enable the water to be used for drinking, as well as for irrigation and other purposes.

It is a fact of life that from time to time borehole and water well infrastructure requires repair, or just routine maintenance. At Smith and Webb, because we understand how vital your water supply is to you, we have a rapid response service team to deal with breakdowns and routine maintenance of water wells and boreholes.

Our highly trained service technicians are well equipped and ready to attend and resolve system and equipment failures at short notice. On those rare occasions where additional or replacement equipment is required, Smith and Webb will normally have it available from our well stocked stores.

At Smith and Webb, after sales and accessories are very important. Having a borehole well is one thing, but you need to manage it and get the most out of it. Which is why we stock and supply a large range of pressure vessels, control boxes and cables to complement your new pump.

Pressure vessels are available in sizes from 8 to 3000 litres suitable for vertical installation as well as in sizes 24 to 200 litres, which are suitable for horizontal installation. The diaphragm and bladder pressure tanks are suitable for domestic and industrial applications where a controlled pressure is required.
