About QTD Ltd – The Timber Specialists
The creation and development of Quality Timber Decking allowed us to design and construct bespoke elevated timber decks and structures including buildings using the highest quality and most stable timbers available.
Our workshop facilities allow us to design and produce different products fulfilling our customers wishes for something bespoke. We have nurtured this passion to become leaders in our field and through our green credentials we are one of the only companies in this market to be able to provide an FSC® and PEFC full chain of custody certification from the harvesting of the timber through to project completion.
Supplying and building with specialist hardwoods and thermowoods on external projects puts us in the unique position of understanding what does and doesn’t work in the UK climate. We can therefore pass on our expertise and guidance in helping you to make the right choice of material for timber construction projects, whether you are Architects / Specifiers, trade or domestic customers.
QTD have achieved many firsts in this market and will continue to innovate and push the boundaries using the latest technology.

QTD has undergone an extensive audit process and has achieved accreditation, being awarded Chain of Custody Certification with FSC® (Cert No. TT-COC-002360) and PEFC (Cert No. BMT-PEFC-00356). QTD are one of very few Design, Build and Supply companies in the UK that can provide a full unbroken chain of custody certification from managed forest through to the customer. I recently experienced a failure of the support structure of my outdoor decking resulting in its partial collapse. Investigation later revealed the likely cause to be use of inferior and untreated materials in the original construction some 10 years ago.
I sent e-mails to 3 different decking companies whose details I had gathered from an internet search. QTD Ltd were the first to answer and the only company to continue communicating with me. Within a short time of our initial discussions their Managing Director, Chris Sidey, had visited my property to do an initial survey. This followed quickly by the sending of a plan drawing for its replacement, a recommendation of suitable materials, and a quote which I considered reasonable. A sample of the chosen material was also mailed to me to confirm satisfactory acceptance of my choice.
Work commenced on the project earlier than scheduled, with my approval, and the old structure was completely torn down and removed using their own vehicle within a couple of days. Mike and Harry arrived punctually every day and were unobtrusive and trustworthy to the point where they worked unsupervised and I left a key out for them to access the property.
The new structure was completed within two and a half working weeks to a high standard. At all times any queries and requests, including a mid build request to increase the overall size at a discounted price, were handled in an agreeable and professional manner.
I would highly recommend the services of QTD Ltd to anyone looking for a professional and customer-oriented decking and construction company.
