SIG’s operations are managed on a country-by-country basis. Within each country there is dedicated divisional management focusing on each market sector. This is critical to the success of the business, ensuring that focus is provided to both the customer requirements and the supply chain required to service the customer.

SIG continues to progressively integrate Corporate Responsibility across the Group. It believes that the inclusion of broader social and environmental issues into its decision making will support the Group in achieving its business goals as well as helping grow Shareholder value.

SIG continues to be a constituent member of the FTSE4Good Index of socially responsible companies, and recognises its corporate responsibilities to its Shareholders, employees, customers and suppliers and is committed to good practice in all its activities.


The Company continues to develop its approach to Corporate Responsibility (CR) and is pleased to be able to inform its stakeholders of the measures that it is taking to continue to monitor and improve its CR performance reporting.

The CR Committee was set up in 2009 and provides the SIG Board with a regular account of the significance of social, environmental and ethical matters to the business of the Group. It has in place a comprehensive risk management and internal control process which identifies and assesses the significant risks to the Company’s short and long term value arising from such matters.

The Board receives a report on CR issues at each of its Board meetings and reviews the Group's CR strategy. CR issues also form part of the overall internal control process and are covered in the training of Directors.
