Providing excellent quality purpose made bespoke joinery products to the construction industry on time. Laverack Joinery was established in July 1984 by Mr Laverack sole trader in small premises in Layerthorpe, York.

Mr Laverack, from a large family within the construction industry, was trained as a bench hand joiner and saw the need to establish a joinery manufacturing business supplying purpose made joinery items for the local trade. The company now supplies products to the trade nationwide.

After a period of growth and expansion, the company relocated to larger freehold premises in Birch Park Industrial Estate, Huntington Road, York in 1990.

The premises are equipped with a substantial amount of modern machinery, complete with a dust extraction system that provides the heating for the premises.

Sliding Sash Windows
Vertical or horizontal sliding sash windows using softwood or hardwoods. Options include traditional single glazed box windows with cords and weights or spiral springs. Double glazed sash windows can be manufactured with a 24mm A rated units. A duplex fret bar system can be incorporated to reduce the width of the glazing bars from 40mm down to 22mm.

Alternatively we can offer solid astragal glazing bars of 21mm incorporating a 12mm slim line double glazed unit which provides a u value of 1.5 ideal for conservation works of period buildings. The sash windows can also be manufactured with traditional cords and weights. We use traditional methods of jointing our box frame windows comprising a trench, wedge and glued. A system used for hundreds of years.

Casement Windows
Our standard sections are as follows however we can manufacture to your individual needs. 70mm Bevel Outer Frame Sections with Ovolo Sashes and 40mm Glazing Bars or 22mm Frets. 90mm Ovolo mould frame with Ovolo Sashes. All windows come complete with weatherseals and locking fastners and 24mm unit facility. We can price for the windows to be factory glazed complete with top coat spray paint if required.

Doors & Frames
Bi-fold door systems now becoming very popular and we can offer hardwood door sets purpose made to individual masonry sizes. 56mm thick doors complete with A rated toughened double glazed units. We can also offer any size or design of door frame and door using engineered timbers if required.

Curved & Shaped Work
Specialising in shaped curved and angled work for barn conversions, churches and the like. Using softwood hardwood or European oak.

Conservatories & Garden Rooms
Full range of conservatory or garden rooms manufactured to your architects drawings.

Staircases
Straight and winder flights using softwood or hardwood strings and newel posts. Timber or MDF treads and risers. Winder flights a speciality for attic conversions. Single flights or multiple contract work catered for.
