Urban and Rural Planning Associates were formed in 2003 and became a limited company in 2006. The company employs Chartered Town Planners as well as an Historic Environment specialist with extensive experience of public and private sectors. We primarily operate throughout the South West of England with a particular focus on Devon and Cornwall.

What we do:

• Full range of services: Appraisals, submit applications and appeals.


• Project coordination/lead consultant


• Experienced in commercial/industrial uses, agricultural work, residential (affordable housing schemes) and health uses.


• Historic Environment work: Conservation appraisals, Listed Building advice.


• Work on behalf of Local Authorities, carrying out appeals and dealing with planning applications.

We have good links with allied professions and good working relationships with Local Authorities based on a thorough understanding of local policies. We pride ourselves on offering rapid and incisive advice to help with clients projects. We often act as lead consultant to bring a project together and follow this through the process. Our expertise cuts through the complex and confusing planning process.
